I used to bang on about gyoza a lot when learning Japanese, especially in the early days when I didn’t have the vocabulary to talk about much else. I’d try describing things I like doing, like hunting down great gyoza or ramen, or cooking at home. Gyoza became a staple of my stock self introduction, or jikoshoukai (自己紹介、or じこしょうかい) something all Japanese language learners must present for any test.……初めましてオーストラリア大使館のトランたです。餃子が大好きです。Or something like that.
